Obviously Halloween pictures. Chinese don't celebrate Halloween traditionally. It's an old pagan custom which, over the years, became mixed up with the Christian All Saints Day.
However, any excuse to have a party!
The Canadian staff hosted a Halloween dance. The kids found or created costumes, and we cranked the music and the kids danced the night away -- until 8:30 or so. There was a Haunted House created by a few enterprising students, and a concession stand set up by other enterprising students. The dancing itself wasn't the normal scene you'd find at a North American school or club. It was more gathering and watching a few gifted -- or not gifted -- individuals, grooving to the beat.

The red-eye effect from the camera gave the guy in the back (1st picture, the guy who's got a little mustache thing going on there) a cool evil look....
