Guangzhou Public Transit

So this is public transportation in Guangzhou. TV on the buses and the subways. The buses are 2 RMB per ride, if I remember correctly. The subway price depends on how far you go. So you go to this little screen to buy a ticket for however far you want to go. The machine spits out a little black plastic token, which you take with you, and then as you leave at your destination, you drop it in the box. If you leave at the wrong destination, you will be in trouble. Very smart. The subway system seems to go to lots of places, there is a few different lines. Prices are between 2 and 5 RMB. There are signs telling you what is at each exit of the subway stop. And, the ultimate in safety features, there is a glass wall between you and the open track, so that nobody can throw themself in front of the train, or get pushed in, or whatever.
