I think I mentioned in a previous blog about the lack of elevators. Only buildings that are more than six floors are required to have them. Well, that brings up the question, how do you move stuff around, if not in elevators? The answer? With lots and lots of manpower. Here, we see a photocopier being brought up to our offices on the third floor. There was at one point, I think about ten guys surrounding this thing trying to lift it up the stairs. It was a heavy thing too. We tried lifting it with four guys. We weren't getting anywhere. Anyways, since this scene with the army of guys moving furniture, we have seen this phenomenon many times. If there's one thing that's cheap in China, it's human labour.
