Our fish died!

Backtracking a little here. On Teachers day in September, the Grade 11's
gave their teachers three fishes. So we gamely took these three tiny
fishes home and put them in a plastic bucket for safekeeping. Imagine
my surprise the next day when we came home from school and discovered
two of them dead!

Not just dead.... but actually... one was on the floor, and the other
one was in a cup that was next to the plastic bucket! [Insert shocked
gasp here!] The third fish died fairly quickly afterwards... maybe from
loneliness?

Here are a couple theories about what actually happened.... nobody knows
what really went down....

1) The three fishes were fighting fishes. One of the fish managed to
kick the other two out by propelling them out of the water, by doing so,
it pulled a fin, and died of internal injuries much later.
2) The three fish were high jumpers, and didn't have any mats to catch
them when they fell. The one in the cup won the competition and was
awarded gold post-humously.
3) The water was too chlorinated, and the fish tried to jump out and
escape, but instead plummeted to their doom.. (out of the fry pan.. and
into the fire!)
